Van vrijdag 25 oktober tot en met zondag 10 november vindt in Zuid-Limburg de zevende editie plaats van het Festival Vocallis. Er is een gevarieerd programma samengesteld rondom het thema VROUW. Bekende zangers en pianisten treden op, naast amateurs en ‘rising stars’.
Aanstormende talenten kunnen deelnemen aan de Internationale Masterclass. De Masterclass duurt vier dagen: van maandag 28 tot en met donderdag 31 oktober 2019. Als afsluiting vindt er een Presentatieconcert plaats op donderdagavond 31 oktober om 19.30 uur in het Conservatorium te Maastricht.
Als docenten van deze Masterclass zijn aangetrokken de bekende zangeres/ pedagoge Michaela Kaune en pianiste Abigail Richards. Zij zullen aandacht geven aan zowel de zang- als de pianopartij. Voor meer informatie over beide Masters, klik op: Michaela Kaune of Abigail Richards.

Aanmoedigingsprijzen
Aan de Masterclass wordt een drietal prijzen verbonden:
- Eerste prijs: bestaat uit een betaald optreden in het Laureatenconcert
Vocallis 2020, plus een geldprijs van € 250,00. - Tweede prijs: de tweede prijswinnaars ontvangen € 150,00.
- Derde prijs: de derde prijswinnaars ontvangen € 100,00.
Aanmelding Masterclass
Deze openbare Internationale Masterclass is bedoeld voor (pre-)professionele Liedduo’s en uitstekende amateurs. Kandidaten kunnen zich inschrijven door een curriculum vitae (cv) van genoten opleidingen en ervaring, aangevuld met een actuele geluidsopname en een recente foto per mail te sturen aan: info@festivalvocallis.nl.
Aanmeldingen dienen uiterlijk 30 september 2019 ontvangen te zijn.
Geluidsopname en verplicht repertoire
De Liedduo’s kunnen naar vrije keus een programma samenstellen van 5 liederen. Een relatie met het thema VROUW wordt op prijs gesteld. De geluidsopname dient twee van deze liederen te bevatten. Op grond hiervan beslissen Michaela Kaune en Abigail Richards i.s.m. met docent/pedagoog Frans Kokkelmans en hoboïst/ medewerker Vocallis Hans Cuypers o.l.v. artistiek directeur Festival Vocallis Gert Geluk over toelating tot de Masterclass. De deelnemers worden uiterlijk 29 september geïnformeerd.
Accommodatie
Indien gewenst kunnen de deelnemers aan de Masterclass overnachten in Landal Greenpark te Vaals. De kosten hiertoe bedragen € 20,00 per persoon per nacht.
Kosten
De kosten voor deelname aan de Masterclass als Liedduo (zanger en pianist) bedragen € 200,00 per deelnemer. Wilt u als zanger(es) alleen deelnemen is dat ook mogelijk. In overleg begeleidt u dan Master Abigail Richards. De kosten zijn dan € 270,00. Deelnemers dienen de deelnamekosten over te maken voor 10 oktober 2019. Indien de deelnamekosten niet tijdig zijn ontvangen vervalt de toelating en wordt de aanmelding automatisch geannuleerd.
Overig
De cursisten worden geacht de gehele dag aanwezig te zijn bij de Masterclass. De deelnemers krijgen gratis toegang tot alle concerten van Festival Vocallis 2019. De Masterclass vindt plaats in Kunst- en Cultuurcentrum De Kopermolen in Vaals met uitzondering
van de eerste en de laatste dag, deze vinden plaats in Conservatorium Maastricht.

In 2019 in South Limburg, the seventh edition of Festival Vocallis21 will take place from friday 25 october until sunday 10 november. A varied programme has been created around the theme WOMAN. Renowned singers and pianists will perform, as well as amateurs and ‘rising stars’.
Up and coming talented singers and pianists can participate in the International Masterclass. The masterclass is held for 4 days, from monday 28-thursday 31 october 2019. There will be a closing presentation concert on thursday 31 october at 19.30 in the Conservatorium of Maastricht. The teachers at this masterclass are the well-known singer/pedagogue Michaela Kaune and pianist Abigail Richards. They will focus equally on the singer

Career development prizes
Three prizes are connected to the masterclass. The first prize consists of a paid performance in the Laureats concert Vocallis 2020, plus a cash prize of E250. The second prizewinners receive E150. The third prizewinners receive E100.
Applications Masterclass
These public International Masterclass is aimed at (pre-) professional lied duos and outstanding amateurs. Candidates can apply by sending a curriculum vitae listing studies and experience, plus a recent recording and photo to :

Recording en compulsory repertoire
The lied duos should present a programme of 5 lieder/art songs, which may be freely chosen. A connection with the theme “WOMAN” is encouraged. The recording should consist of 2 songs of the chosen repertoire. Participants will be selected on the basis of these recordings by Michaela Kaune-Bland and Abigail Richards alongside professor/pedagogue Frans Kokkelmans and oboist Hans Cuypers, overseen by Gert Geluk, artistic director of Festival Vocallis. Selected
participants will be informed at the latest by 29 september.
Accomodation
Participants in the masterclass can be accomodated at Landal Greenpark in Vaals if desired. The costs for this are E20 – per person per night.
Costs
The fee for active participation in the masterclass as duo (singer and pianist) are E200 per person including refreshments. If you are a singer without a pianist it is also possible to attend. In this case you will be
accompanied by Abigail Richards. The fee for solo attendance is E270. Participants are asked to ensure the fee is paid before 10 october 2019. Should the fee not be received on time, the reserved place will automatically be cancelled.
Further information
Students are expected to be present for the whole day duing the masterclass. Participants receive free entry to all the concerts during Festival Vocallis. The masterclass will take place in the Kopermolen in Vaals, apart from the first and last days which will be held in the Conservatorium Maastricht. Coffee and tea are included in the price. For more
